Saved by the Bell: The NFL Years –
Episode 1
“First and Goal at Bayside” 🛎️🏈
The gang’s back at Bayside… except now, half of them are NFL quarterbacks and the football team suddenly has a salary cap.
Plot Recap:
Zack Burrow strolls into school with his oversized cell phone, casually announcing he’s “just closed a sponsorship deal for the cafeteria” — which means The Max now serves nothing but Skyline Chili. 🥣
Slater Mahomes is fresh from practice, flexing in the hallway in his Chiefs tank, telling everyone how he just ran the 40-yard dash in under 4 seconds… while holding a slice of pizza.
Dak Screech unveils his latest invention: a “PlayCall 3000” headset that’s supposed to help Coach Belding call better plays… except it picks up police radio, a local FM station, and somehow orders 12 large pizzas to the locker room. 🍕
Things go sideways when Bayside’s rival school, Valley, recruits a transfer student — Aaron Rodgers — who shows up in a leather jacket, sunglasses, and an untrustworthy smirk. Zack immediately hatches a scheme to “trade” for him, while Slater insists on settling it with an arm-wrestling match.
After a botched pep rally where Dak’s headset accidentally triggers the sprinklers, the episode ends with Zack calling TIME OUT, looking straight at the camera:
“Looks like our playbook needs a little work… but hey, at least we’re undefeated in hallway pranks.”
Cue the freeze-frame high five, and the Saved by the Bell theme plays over the credits. 🎶
